Jacob's Birthday

Today was Jacob's 15th birhday and Father's Day, so we didn't get to see eachother, but it was still a cool day, we got to talk, and got to spend time with our families. Jacob is the best guy I have ever met(with the exception of the guys in my family, lol), and thank God that I have been so blessed tohave him in my life. I hope he had the best birthday. Happy Birhtday Jacob!

Father's Day

Today was Father's Day and thought I didn't get to see my dad the whole day because he had to work, it was still a fun day. I love my Daddy very much and hope he had a great Father's Day!He is a great dad, and Shelby and I are ery happy he is our dad. I love you Daddy! Happy Father's Day!

This was taken on one of my favorite birthdays. I had a big Cinderella birthday party at home and then we all went to Leaps and Bounds for the afternoon. I LOVED that place when I was smaller. Another reason this picture is special is because although you can't see her, my baby sister is in the photo with us. She's in Mom's tummy! Mom was almost 3 months pregnant with her at this time! lol I was very excited about becoming a big sister for the first time.

Lancelot saves Guinevere 

I was talking to my mom about the musical, Camelot, because of a conversation I had with Jacob last night. He posted something really sweet about Lancelot and Guinevere onto his blog. After hearing the story from Jacob, I went and asked my mom to tell me more about it. My mom LOVES that musical, so she told me a whole lot about the characters and the story of Lancelot, Guinevere, King Arthur, and Merlin. She also took me online and showed me some of the lyrics and melodies to the songs. Now I am dying to go and rent the movie so that I can see it and hear all of the songs myself. My favorites are"How To Handle A Woman", which is sung by Arthur, "If Ever I Would Leave You", "I Loved You Once In Silence", and "C'est Moi", all sung by Lancelot. (Just as a sidenote, my mom also told me that she was totally in love with the guy who played Lancelot when they did the musical together. That is why she knows all of the love songs so well! lol) Anyway, I thought today I would post the lyrics to one of my favorite songs from Camelot. I can't wait to see it and hear it on the movie!

Summer Time

So far, my summer is going great, talking to my friends and family, playing baskeball until the sun goes down, sleeping in, reading books, and watching my favorite movies! Summer is the favorite time of year for pretty much everyne I know. Well, except for Christmas which is the best time of year for a million different reasons. Coming up, I have my birthday, my parents anniversary, Father's Day, and my Papa's and Jacob's birthdays, but the best part of summer is the time I get to spend with my family and friends! I love going to school but there is nothing better than free time with loved ones at home.

Hi there! My name is Kelsie, (or Gwyneth if you call me by my celtic name!) and this is my brand new blog. This is where I will share many of my thoughts, feelings, lessons learned, questions, jokes, favorite topics and photos. I named my blog "Gwenyth Island" because I love the beach and the ocean and I would one day love to own my own private island home, where my loved ones and I can spend all of our free time basking in the wonder that is God's watery creation.

Hi, Jacob, Mom, Dad, Shelby, Mom Mom and....my Papa, who now lives with God in Heaven. (I sure do miss you, Papa) I hope you visit often so that you can experience some of the things that are important to me, and also so you can read, from time to time, the words of gratitude and love toward you, that I sometimes find easier to write, than say. I thank God for all of you, every single day of my life.

Jacob, I have no idea what God has in store for our relationship. We are both very young and I know that we both have SO much growing and learning to do over the coming years. I am honored to be dating you. The most exciting part of that is the fact that you and I share a passion for dating according to God's design. It is such a miracle that I would find a boy who is as commited as I am to going against worldly ideals, and including God in every aspect of our adventure together. I want you to know that no matter where God takes us in this relationship, you are first and foremost, my best friend, and God has promised me that He will never allow anyone or anything to change, or get in the way of that. I hope we never break up. You are very, very special to me. You make me laugh, you wipe away my tears in friendship and you constantly lead me closer to the Lord. But we have made a pledge together, to allow God to steer this "ship" so I just look forward to taking this journey one day at a time. I know that if we continue to "turn our eyes upon Jesus", then everything else will take care of itself, and what is to be, will be, in God's own time, according to His will. Thank you for a school-year's worth of ecnouragement that has inspired me to go deeper into God's Word and my faith. And......thank you for the laughs and the memory of your famous Twin Tower flights! HaHa!
